ACE Privacy Code
ACE commits to comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (“PIPEDA”) which includes the following 10 principles for the protection of personal information:
1. Accountability: ACE has designated all employees to be accountable for our compliance with the privacy code. ACE has also appointed our Operation Director as our Compliance/Privacy Officer.
2. Identifying Purposes: ACE will identify the purpose for the personal information at or before the time the information is collected.
3. Consent: ACE will obtain the individual’s consent before or at the time of collection regarding the purposes for the collection or disclosure of personal data, except where required or permitted by law.
4. Limit Collection: Personal Information collected will be limited to what is necessary for the identified purposes of ACE.
5. Limiting Use, Disclosure and Retention: ACE will not use or disclose personal information for purposes other than what is identified, except with your consent or as required by law. ACE will retain personal information only for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes identified.
6. Accuracy: ACE will keep personal information as accurate, complete and up to date as necessary, taking into account its use and the interests of the individual.
7. Safeguards: ACE has developed security safeguards procedures related to the protection of personal information in response to the requirements by law.
8. Openness: ACE will make readily available its policies and practices relating to the management of personal information.
9. Customer Access: ACE will inform you of the use and disclosure of your personal information upon your request. You may request the information to be corrected or updated if it’s appropriate.
10. Challenging Compliance: You may direct any questions to our Compliance Officer at ACE
Government Compliance
ACE takes compliance, regulatory and legal obligations seriously. Through the activities and programs of our compliance department, ACE protects both our own corporate assets and those of our clients.
ACE fully complies with the policies and procedures of the agency governing against money laundering and terrorist financing in Canada (“FINTRAC”).
